We just got a stop-work order. What should we be doing right now?
First, comply immediately and stop incurring costs beyond what is needed to safely wind down, per FAR 52.242-15. Then start documenting: open separate cost codes for demobilization and idle time, notify your subcontractors in writing, and request written guidance from your CO. If the pause raises your costs, you may be entitled to an equitable adjustment when work resumes.

Questions

Skye FAQs

What exactly is Skye?

Skye is Skyway's AI assistant for government contracting, available to members. Ask a question in plain English and Skye answers from a knowledge base built on the full FAR, the Contracting Officer Podcast archive, the Skyway blog, and the team's own materials, with links to the sources behind each answer.

How current is the FAR content?

Skye keeps her own copy of all 53 FAR parts mirrored from acquisition.gov, and it refreshes automatically on a rolling cycle. When a FAC or FAR Overhaul change publishes, Skye's copy follows within days.

Can Skye be wrong?

Yes. Skye is AI and can make mistakes, which is why every answer links its sources and why we tell you to double-check anything important. For decisions that matter, verify against the linked FAR text or bring in the Skyway team.

Is this legal advice?

No. Skye provides education and orientation, not legal advice. For legal questions, consult counsel; for expert engagement, Skyway's former Contracting Officers are available.

Which memberships include Skye?

Skye is included with Podcast + Skye memberships and up. Subscribers who joined before the October 10 relaunch keep Skye included at their current rate. Individual playlist purchases do not include Skye. Pick a membership on the pricing page and Skye is waiting on the other side of checkout.

How do I know my information is secure?

Your conversations live in your Skyway member account on Skyway's own site, not in a public AI product. They are never used to train outside models, never shared with other members or third parties, and the only people who can see them are the Skyway team, for support and to improve Skye's knowledge.

What stops Skye from pulling in non-GovCon sources?

Skye does not search the internet. Her knowledge base is what Skyway decided she should know: the Contracting Officer Podcast archive, the Skyway library, the team's own materials, and the FAR pulled directly from acquisition.gov. General AI tools search the open web and hope; Skye searches a curated GovCon library and shows you her sources on every answer.

Are my conversations private?

Conversations are saved to your member account so you can pick up where you left off. The Skyway team can review conversations for support and to improve the content Skye draws on, and they are never shared with other members or third parties.

Stop googling GovCon. Start asking Skye.
