WHO WE ARE
Skyway is a diverse team of 11 experienced former Contracting Officers who are passionate about helping people navigate GovCon. Government acquisition professionals rely on Skyway to bring context to GovCon to accelerate their acquisitions, level up their GovCon skills, and to make them more confident acquisition professionals.
WHAT WE DO
The Skyway team has Contracting Officer experience with every facet of federal acquisition. We harness that experience to mentor, coach, and advise our government clients. We also have helped hundreds of organizations navigate government contracts from the industry side. We bring more GovCon context to government acquisition professionals because we have deep and balanced insights from understanding both sides of GovCon. Our perspective and insights ensure government teams best acquisition outcomes.

Experience: Skyway’s mentorship and advice are based on experience, not theory. Skyway’s team has an average of 21 years as Contracting Officers across different agencies and commands. PLUS, our team members have an average of 6 years training and advising industry on how to navigate GovCon. This allows us to bridge the context gap between government and industry because we understand both sides. We bring our government clients a neutral, balanced perspective on how industry understands GovCon.
Breadth of expertise: The Skyway team has direct experience across nearly all facets of GovCon, including pre-award processes, post-award activities, buying products, services, construction, and R&D (including the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program), and contingency contracting. Our expertise covers every part of the FAR, DFARS and others. We help small businesses apply for and maintain their SAM.gov registrations, find contracting opportunities through searching SAM.gov, and help them “level the playing field” in the federal contracting arena by identifying, applying for, and using applicable SBA small business certification programs. In short, if a Contracting Officer does it, someone on our team has done it. Skyway’s broad experience is a force multiplier for your team.
Current and Relevant: We are former Contracting Officers. However, we stay on top of current acquisition trends, policies and strategies by delving into the regulations and policies every day. We assess, analyze, and apply the concepts in the FAR regularly. This is how we keep our team sharp, and our clients informed. We stay current in GovCon because, well, we love this stuff…and our clients’ benefit! Our focus culminates in the This Week in Government Contracting (TWIGC) and The Contracting Officer Podcast 2.0.
