The government contracts out a lot of services. We’ve covered that topic in many episodes. Sometimes those contracts are for specific services for one government customer. Other times these contracts are for a broad variety of services that many government customers use.
Then there are groups of contracts that are both broad and specific. One example of broad and specific contracts is under Base Operation and Support (BOS) Contracts on military bases. BOS contracts are often an interconnected web of service contracts that, when combined, meet all the needs of the military base. They are broad because they cover every need of a military base. They are specific because they only deal with those services in that one location (where the military base is).
In this episode, Shelley Hall from the Skyway team joins Paul to outline some of the nuances of BOS contracts. Shelley has extensive experience with these contracts, and she shares some stories on why they are/can be critically important contracts to support the mission, while also being full of personalized nuance.
