Mentorship to Help GovCon Professionals to Do GovCon Well

Accelerating acquisition teams’ support of agency missions

These are turbulent times in government contracting. The general sense of uncertainty permeates the government acquisition environment in palpable. Agencies depend on their contracting and acquisition teams to acquire the goods and services to meet the missions, despite the uncertainty. The work of government contracting still has to get done. Acquisition teams are still building acquisition strategies then competing, awarding and managing contracts. In the current environment, those contracting and acquisition teams are spread thinner than ever. The number of people doing the work is shrinking, but the workload continues to grow. Acquisition teams need help.

When uncertainty mounts, and the tasks to be done seem overwhelming, the best action is to focus on what we can do despite the uncertainty. What acquisition teams can do is to seek help from those who have weathered these storms before. Our team of 10 former Contracting Officers enables acquisition teams to meet their mission by leveraging our experience from both sides of government contracting. We have seen uncertainty before. We created the Contracting Officer Mentorship Program (the COMP) to help you navigate these uncertain times.
