Welcome to 2025. This is going to be one amazing year. In unrelated news, this is the year of 1) my 25th wedding anniversary and 2) my last kid graduates from high school…meaning we’ll be “empty nesters” in the Fall of 2025. 2025 will be a big year for sure. New adventures abound. Let the adventures begin! Happy New Year! In unsurprising news: we are still under a Continuing Resolution. The Lame Duck congress pushed the CR out until March 14… Just another day in GovCon. 

What’s new? 

Functional GovCon Fitness: We introduced a new training concept this year: Functional GovCon Fitness© (or FGF). You’ll be seeing more about it throughout 2025. Our plan is to build training and/or consulting support programs that are customized to our clients’ needs. Skyway’s Core Value #4 is “Solve Unique Puzzles” so we realize that each clients’ training and consulting needs are different. FGF ensures we’re not pretending that GovCon is a one size fits all path to success. The definition of “success” is different for each client and each person. Focusing on Functional GovCon Fitness means we are ready by focusing on 5 key areas: sharing examples, covering diverse topics, applying real world problem sets, improving foundational knowledge, and then using all these to prevent mis-steps.
