The uncertainty continues…
To borrow a concept I learned from a Navy SEAL – we are in a VUCA environment. “VUCA” is Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity. In Special Operations parlance, the idea is that Navy SEALs need to be able to operate effectively in a VUCA environment, all the time. For us, navigating GovCon (and the business of GovCon) is harder when we are in a VUCA environment. This VUCA in GovCon can feel particularly jarring because GovCon is traditionally slower, more scripted, and less “VUCA”. But here we are, nonetheless. We’ve had VUCA time periods in GovCon in my career, but the degree of uncertainty in particular is new to us all. We are working toward the next normal. This month’s Contracting Officer Podcast episode, Skyway webinar, and TWIGC, focus on helping you find some footing the uncertainty. We also added a new tool to help contractor clients to filter and target opportunities better, the RFP Score (see details below).

The RFP Score™ results are anonymous (we don’t track your inputs) so you can run it as many times as you’d like so you can improve your score.
